The Kent & Curwen ‘Flannels for Heroes’ cricket day took place at Burton Court, Chelsea, London, on June 15th 2012.
The annual event, a day of cricket and frivolity, honours and supports wounded British servicemen by way of the charities Help for Heroes and Walking with the Wounded. Guests were treated to a sumptuous lunch and afternoon tea whilst enjoying the days cricket.
The event featured guest players including the celebrated British actor Dan Stevens, financier and environmentalist Ben Goldsmith, and former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan among others.
Kent & Curwen provided real cricket flannels to all 48 cricketers, just as they did to the England and Australia national teams in the seventies, and the Hollywood teams of the thirties and forties.
